Buena Vista University Head Volleyball Coach Lori Slight and her 2014 team are on a roll. Actually, they’re on a streak, a winning streak. Last week, the team stretched its run of victories into double digits and currently sits at 10 wins in a row, the longest winning streak in program history. Thursday night they travel to the University of Dubuque and try make it 11. The team has already clinched a IIAC tournament berth, the program’s first since 2007.
Slight, in her third year as head coach, has her team breaking all kinds of records this year from that winning streak to single-season kills to ace serves in a season. Slight describes her players as hardworking and fearless, and believes her young team has the potential to achieve even more.
