Buena Vista University (BVU) students came together for lunch on Wednesday, October 12 for a spin-art activity that the Student Activities Board (SAB) held. The event was held from 12-3 pm in the Centennial Room where a lot of students eat lunch every day.
The spin-art booth was set up with fun, techno-like music playing and two stations where students could create a spin-art design on a drawstring bag. There were a few different colored bags to choose from as well as many paint options. The activity was free and many students attended.
The location and time were convenient to get a lot of attendance as students could grab lunch and make a bag in the same location.
“Because the events we’ve had so far this week have been at night, we wanted to provide a more come-and-go event that all students could enjoy despite their busy schedules,” says Haley Stevens. “Over lunch hour and into the early afternoon seemed to be the clear answer to get the most amounts of students to attend as possible.”
