Carolyn McDermott is from Lincoln, Nebraska, and is double-majoring in Biology and Environmental Science. She is currently involved in Outdoor Adventure Club, Dean’s Fellows, BV Buddies, Vice President of Advertising for Student Activities Board, and is a Global Fellow. She loves being outdoors, learning about research, and riding her bike. Her favorite time of the week is when she gets to ride her bike over to the middle school to see her BV buddy, Nyakim. She is very thankful for all the support and opportunities BV provides through service and cannot wait to participate in upcoming volunteer opportunities as the semester continues.
