On Friday, April 24, the Buena Vista University (BVU) Theatre department will have their opening night of Into the Woods. The show will begin at 7:30pm in Schaller Chapel. It will continue to have performances on April 25, May 1 and May 2 at 7:30pm, with a matinée on April 26 at 2pm.
The musical will feature many popular fairy-tales, such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, the Baker, and Jack and the Bean Stock. The story follows the characters into the woods as they journey to get their wish.
Those interested in seeing the show can reserve their tickets at bvu.edu/tickets or call the Theatre Hotline at 712.749.2211. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens and may be picked up at the door on the evening of the performance. The show is free of charge to BVU students. BVU students can also receive ACES Cultural credit.
