Spring is in full swing (and apparently making me rhymey) so it’s time to update the dorms and suites with new spring decor. So here’s a super easy, really cheap DIY project to get you geared up for spring.
What You’ll Need:
Artificial flowers
Hot glue gun
Writing utensil (permanent marker works best)
Scissors
Sheet of cardboard
Letter (optional)
Step One: If you choose to use the cardboard, trace out the letter you wish to use onto the cardboard.
*If you purchase a letter at a craft store or dollar store, skip this step*
Step Two: Decide how you’d like to arrange the flowers on the letter before gluing to make sure you like the way they’re placed. It’s best to start with the larger flowers and then fill in the blank spaces with the smaller flowers and any greenery.
Step Three: Glue the flowers on the letter.

Guys, if you’re not exactly the flower type, here’s a version you might enjoy. To give the same spring effect, find beers that are seasonal or more “spring and summer like.” Beers like Corona, Bud Light Lime, Shocktop, Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy and Samuel Adams Summer Ale.
Step One: If you choose to use the cardboard, trace out the letter you wish to use onto the cardboard.
*If you purchase a letter at a craft store or dollar store, skip this step*
Step Two: Flatten the beer box out. Place the letter on top of the beer box where you with the part of the box you want on your letter. Trace the letter onto the box.
Step Three: Cut out the tracing on the box and glue to the letter.
These letters are so fast and easy to do and you can add your own unique style to them. Be creative and make them yours. They’re really versatile too so you can hang them on the wall or a door, put them on a table or shelf. They can really be decorative anywhere.
All the supplies can cost under $10 so it works on a college budget!
