On November 21 and 22, over 100 high school students participated in the 8th annual “I Do Art Day” at Buena Vista University. Professors, alumni, and students held ten different workshops for students to create their own artwork, generate ideas, and even fake wounds. Students were able to choose two of their favorite sessions to attend, with a break for lunch in between.
The workshops were held in the Social Sciences and Arts building, The Underground, and Lage. Each session covered a topic from either digital media, theatre, or visual art and design. Sessions lasted an hour and a half, and students were able to get their minds wandering and their hands dirty. Overall, many students walked away with a new perspective for creating.
