Mayra Lopez is a freshman majoring in social work and minoring in gender and women’s studies. She is a member of AWOL, RAICES, SDP, Student MOVE, Social Work Club, and also participated in the Urban Plunge. She currently loves working at Faith, Hope, and Charity where she gets to spend time with some incredible kids. She believes in always doing what’s right no matter what. She shows this by constantly working towards improving the world one step at a time. Lopez feels BVU has given her tremendous opportunities where she can be of service to her community. She also adores her 2-year-old nephew and 3-month-old niece.
