Hannah Appleseth + Jasmine Demers | Bloggers
One night we were sitting and talking about how it seems that more and more people are making their own blogs. Then it became clear to us, the world needs a dog blog. If you have ever looked at either of our social media accounts it is clear, we are obsessed with dogs. We decided to take a poll on twitter to see if people would appreciate a dog blog. Turns out, only 66% of our followers have hearts (voted yes to a dog blog). We were a bit discouraged at first, but then an angel, (Mary Rose Timko), spoke to us and assured us that BVU needed a blog about dogs. So here we sit looking at more dog pictures than usual, tearing up a little, and writing our very first blog.
For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Hannah and I am a freshman at BV. I run cross country and track and major in psychology, but more importantly, I have three wonderful dogs who I love very much. I have a black lab named Charlotte, but we call her Charli. She will hopefully be having puppies soon, which would be incredible for this blog and my life. I am imagining a summer full of playing with the puppies. I also have a yellow lab named Oscar. He’s not very useful when it comes to hunting (which is why we have the labs) because of his weight problem (he’s just big boned) but he has a big heart and that’s what matters. The third dog I have is my pride and joy, the most beautiful Maltese on this earth, Leo. I received Leo as a Christmas present my sophomore year and have been obsessed ever since. Whenever I am home, Leo is always right by my side. He’s my best friend and I swear if you spend 5 minutes around him you’ll fall in love with him (even heartless people who “don’t really like dogs” or don’t follow me back on twitter because I “post too much about dogs” like Paul Gallagher). I’ll talk about Leo a lot in this blog, so you will all get to know him very well. I feel like everyone should own a dog to truly understand how great they are. I am looking forward to sharing adorable pictures, videos, and stories about my dogs and other dogs that I think are awesome.

More importantly, my name is Jasmine. I am a sophomore basketball player and elementary education major at BV. I am not as privileged as Hannah when it comes to owning multiple dogs, but I am able to give all my love and attention to one dog. This very special dog’s name is Maxx (two x’s because he is not basic). Ever since my first dog was stolen as a child (moment of silence please) I had been begging my parents for another to fill the ginormous hole in my heart. Mom said no. How could you say no to this face, mom? I was able to drag my dad into a local pet store when I fell in love with the little runt of the family who eventually became mine. When Maxx isn’t sleeping or eating he is probably running in circles around the house. He is the biggest spaz I know, and he never fails to make me smile. He likes long walks in the park and trying to beat up dogs three times his size. I cannot wait to tell you more about my favorite boy.
Thanks for pawsing (LOL) whatever you were doing to read our post. Stay tuned for our next post. Until next time.
Love,
Hannah and Jasmine
