Social Work: A True Reward

At the core of providing service for others lies the Student Association of Social Workers at Buena Vista University. Those that returned from their last trip to Chicago in 2019, worked to open up Jane’s Closet on campus that continues to provide foster families with free access to clothing and personal care items. Last weekend, 11 students gathered for another trip to Chicago with set goals to learn and make a difference from the 18th through the 21st. While a majority of the group involves Social Work majors, they also encourage students outside the major to join them on their mission to benefit vulnerable populations. They all share a passion for service work along with impacting people and communities, big or small.
