It’s the time of year where the ghosts and ghouls take hold of the living and Jack-o-lanterns flicker bright in the shadows. Halloween is just around the corner and Buena Vista University students are enjoying some spooktacular events!
Pumpkin Carving Contest
Last week ALPS – OAC held a pumpkin carving event outside of Pierce/White Halls. Students were invited to come and carve a pumpkin and enter it into a contest. Prizes were awarded to first, second, third and most liked pumpkins. After carving (and embracing the brisk fall weather), participants enjoyed cider, hot cocoa and candy while they painted small decorative gourds.
