On September 17th – Constitution Day – the Society of Collegiate Journalists (SCJ) dedicated a Goldfinch Magnolia tree to the Buena Vista University (BVU) campus. This Liberty Tree represents the the five freedoms guaranteed to us by the Constitution. SCJ is a service organization; this dedication marks the first service project done by the organization on the BVU campus.
