Senior football players T.J. Bruch and Tanner Collins have recently been selected to play at the Tazon de Estrellas all-star football game in Monterrey, Mexico on Dec. 21. This bowl game is against the CONADIEP All-Stars that takes place after a week of culture and game preparation in Mexico.
“I am most excited about playing another game and to be representing the USA. It is also exciting that we get to play in Mexico because I have never been there and meeting new people from around the country will be a blast,” Bruch said.
This event includes 100 NCAA Division III senior football players from around the United States, 30 staff members, and an estimated 10,000 fans that will be there for support.
“There’s no way I could’ve have accomplished this without all the years of coaching and guidance that have influenced me,” Collins said.
The Tazon de Estrellas is hosted by Global Football, a company that prides itself on leading the world in providing life-changing experiences for student athletes through travel, competition, and service.
This is the fifth year that the bowl has taken place. Bruch and Collins will be playing for Team Stars and Stripes and be competing against the Mexican All-Star team made up of Mexico’s private university players.
“I am honestly most excited to travel to another country. I have never left the United States, so I am looking forward to that and just one more opportunity to partake in the game that I love,” Collins said.
