On Saturday, August 29, over 400 people gathered at Buena Vista University for the #UniteIowa Forum on Immigration, a civil conversation about the political, social and economic challenges associated with immigration. During the forum, participants and attendees were invited to share their own immigration stories. The video below is the result. The stories it contains reflect the very human, very personal experience of leaving one home for another.
