Senior forward Wes Nordquist of the Buena Vista University (BVU) men’s basketball team continues to be recognized on his outstanding senior season. A poll on d3hoops.com was recently released to vote in two different players into the Division III All-Star Game held on March 23rd in Salem, VA. Eight different players from throughout the country have been nominated but only two spots are left. The two players with the most amount of votes gets the honor of playing in the game.
You can vote at d3hoop.com on your computer, iPad and cell phones. You can also vote multiple times if you delete your browsing history after each time you vote. The poll ends on Wednesday, March 13th at 11:00 AM so be sure to get your votes in by then!
Nordquist’s season was one to remember as he ranked 18th in the country in double-doubles with 17.0 points and 10.3 rebounds per game leading the conference in both categories. Nordquist also led the Beavers in minutes played and blocked shots while ranking second on the team in assists and steals. Along with being nominated for the Division III All-Star Game, Nordquist earned 1st team IIAC All-Conference honors and was named a finalist for the Jostens Trophy which is presented to the Division III Player of the Year that excels on and off the basketball court. Along with the individual honors, Nordquist helped the Beavers win a share of the IIAC Conference Championship for the program’s 11th time.
