The Society of Collegiate Journalists (SCJ) held a fundraiser where the lucky winner received a pie thrown in their face. Rev. Ken Meissner, BVU Chaplain, Carol Williams, Director of Multicultural Engagement, and Dr. Neal McNabb, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice, were all candidates in the fundraiser where students, faculty, and staff could put money in candidates’ jars. The candidate with the most money in their jar was the lucky winner to receive pie in the face. During the boat float race on May 8th, Dr. McNabb received a face full of whipped cream courtesy of sophomore criminal justice major, Carlee Brown. Look at the photos above to see how the event unfolded! SCJ was raising funds for future academic trips in the next year.
