Deering’s Dorm Decor: Dream Catchers

Deerings+Dorm+Decor%3A+Dream+Catchers

Kylee Deering | Blogger

Hello Lovelies,

This week’s dorm decor is dream catchers. I think these are fun for wall decor because they’re different from pictures or other similar things you typically hang on your walls. They’re also great because the variety of dream catchers is endless. Big, small, really decorative, or plain and simple. You can get them to really be unique and custom to you.

The history behind the dream catcher starts with the Native Americans. It was intended to protect the sleeping individual from negative dreams, while letting positive dreams through. So if you’re looking to catch some zzz’s or have been having bad dreams, maybe this decoration is for you!

Hang it on the inside of your door, on your wall, above your bed, or under your bunkbed. Hang it on your window or above your desk. It’s sure to look good anywhere. I love the look of several on a wall together. There’s just something about them that’s a little bit vintage and a little bit boho. Which is all in style.

If you like this idea, hop over to Pinterest for ideas on decorating with dream catchers and how to pull the look together with other vintage or bohemian style pieces of decor for your room.

Sweet dreams!

Kylee
